The event features approximately 100 artist displays and booths, live music, hands-on experiences, food, and beer/wine gardens. This free creative community event has taken on a new format this year, closing off two streets allowing the artists to exhibit their artwork in a 10’x10’ canopy/tent or 10’x10’ non-canopy space on the street. Artists must furnish their own canopy/tent, display panels, and tables.

Cost to Exhibit:

$75

Selection Process:

1. Please submit your information using the online application on our "‘Artist Application’" page..

2. Jurying will take place the week of March 27. Artists will be notified via email the week of April 3.

3. If approved, you will receive an email with a link to officially register for the event. You will NOT be considered registered until you register, sign the waiver and pay the $75 artist fee.

Selection Criteria:

Our selection committee is looking for unique original artwork of their own design and execution. The selection committee reviews artwork based on artistic criteria emphasizing high levels of creativity and technical competence. The DP ArtFest strives to ensure that visitors have access to the best fine art experience possible. If you have been a participant in the Dana Point Lantern District ArtFest in the past, this does not guarantee you a spot every time.

First, all applicants must present samples of their work by photo or website. Please submit up to 3 digital images of artwork that are a strong representation of your work.

Second, upon acceptance, all artists must register and fill out the application and waiver acknowledgement that will be sent via email. Space is restricted and will be assigned once you are accepted. The selection committee determines artist space locations. Requests can be made but we cannot guarantee requests will be fulfilled. Reservations and space assignments will be confirmed approximately two weeks prior to the event.
